Settling in as a family of three

I have had several people tell me they checked the blog everyday while we were away...so sorry I did not get a chance to post. It was hard to even get a chance to check or send a quick e-mail. There was one computer at the guest house, and six families staying there on the same schedule. So everyone had about the same free time to use it. I just decided to not make using the computer a priority, although I wish I'd had the chance to share some of our experiences. There are tons of stories to tell.

Since we have been home, we had a good day and then a few bad days. Our happy smiley baby, got mad and was crying all the time, not eating and not sleeping. A trip to the doctor revealed he probably has a virus...hand foot mouth disease. Pretty common illness for kiddos and hopefully it will pass quickly. We all had a much better night last night and Melke is seeming better this morning...even though it's only 8:30am, we've been up since 4am, and he's had some happy playtime this morning.

As Daniel is heating up lunch for him and I, yes, lunch at 8:35am and the baby is napping, I am going to try to get a few pictures posted here.

Meeting Melkamu...we had a sick baby when we got to Ethiopia. He had just been in the hospital with a pneumonia. He was not feeling well the first few days we got to meet with him in the care center. I was a bit sad they had to shave his head while he was hospitalized.

Daniel putting him in his bed, at the end of our visit.

Love the photos, can't wait to see more and hear more details about the trip once you guys are settled in. Love that he was all in pink at the care center!
